Kicklighter is an inclusion facility with classrooms created to support the healthy growth and learning of all children. Our curriculum provides adaptations to facilitate lesson planning and daily activities. Kicklighter Academy offers not only individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services but also offers learning experiences in a general education preschool classroom where students with ASD can learn from their typically developing classmates.
Our infant area provides the highest quality care in an environment designed with the parent and child in mind. While in our care, the children are stimulated through music, exercise, outdoor blanket time, facial and verbal mimicking, and lots of hugs and tickles. Our infant lesson plans are based on Bright Baby Curriculum. Our staff members are CPR & First Aid certified and receive 15 hours of age appropriate training yearly.
Our purpose and goal within the toddler programs is to support self discovery. We create activities and modify classrooms to properly model the integration of personal relationships, awareness, control and expression. At this age, children are meeting new challenges as fast as they come. Crawling, walking and eventually running are levels they accomplish in what seems like a blink of an eye. Children learn best if they are in a stimulating environment. Music, stories, outdoor play, and learning simplicities envelop much of the day. Our caregivers are dedicated in helping each child develop these skills through a trusting and loving relationship.
Our main goal for our preschool program is school readiness through the development of healthy daily routines. Our inclusive individualized curriculum focuses on creating an interactive learning environment. This allows our children to participate confidently in self-exploration and guided learning activities. At this age, children are meeting new challenges as fast as they come. To better serve our families, we offer a Before and Aftercare Program for our Pre-K students and Holiday Camp. Before and Aftercare includes meals, snacks, and a clean environment for safe and supervised play. As children get older and more independent, they need new challenges. That’s why we offer a school-age program for before and after-school care and enrichment programs that address growing school-age children's changing and more varied needs. Reading, math, and science activities ensure your child's mind is engaged and help create a lifelong love of learning and exploration.
